Lodging in Denver
Coors Field is located in downtown Denver, within easy walking distance of a number of hotels, lofts, and other VRBO rentals. Downtown Denver is safe and very walkable – with plenty of bars, breweries, restaurants, hotels, and shopping.
My stay at the Hotel Born: On my solo trip in August 2017, I stayed at The Kimpton Hotel Born at Union Station – a safe <10 minute walk to Coors Field, past many inviting restaurants & bars (most with a patio or rooftop). The hotel had just opened for business earlier that month, but operations ran smoothly. It was modern, clean, and stylish; the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Better yet, there’s a complementary happy hour in the luxurious lobby at 4pm…which allowed me to sample (chug?) a couple local brews before heading over to Coors Field and attempt (unsuccessfully) to catch home runs in left field during batting practice.
Location, Location, Location: The hotel was conveniently located right next to Union Station, the rail station in downtown Denver. After landing at the airport, I was able to ride RTD’s A-Train directly to Union Station, walk (toting luggage) 2 minutes max, and arrive at the hotel! From my 5th floor room, you could see (but not hear) Union Station and the light towers of Coors Field in the distance.
Tip: Hit the free happy hour in the hotel lobby before walking to Coors Field
